2009 IB Americas Conference
The 2009 IB Americas conference will feature inspiring and provocative speeches from a variety of thought leaders in the fields of education and international relations including:
- L. Gen, the Honourable Rom�o A. Dallaire, author and former Force Commander of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Rwanda (UNAMIR)
- Isabelino Siede, international educator and professor at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata
- JoAnn Deak, noted educator and psychologist, expert on brain research
- Daniel Pink, leading American business author and lecturer

The conference will draw from the experience of nearly 1,500 IB World Schools and schools seeking authorization to offer IB programmes in North, Central and South America.
This year’s theme, New Thinking for a New World, reflects the exciting changes and challenges facing the IB Americas community as it draws together the resources from the former IB Latin America and North America regions. There will be speeches available in English, French and Spanish as well as a number of bilingual elements throughout the conference program.
