IB announces new schools division—regional director IB Africa, Europe, Middle East

The IB is pleased to announce the appointment of Adrian Kearney as the new regional director for IB Africa, Europe, Middle East (IBAEM).

I have always greatly admired the IB and am delighted to be joining an organization with a strong mission and non-profit ethos.

Adrian comes from a successful ten year-long career at the University of Cambridge ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Examinations, Cambridge, UK; a non for profit department of the University of Cambridge. He currently holds the post of assistant director of business management where he has managed Cambridge ESOL’s corporate business planning, business intelligence and accreditation functions across its headquarters and its 20 overseas offices.

Of his appointment, Adrian said, “I have always greatly admired the IB and am delighted to be joining an organization with a strong mission and non-profit ethos. I feel my experience working as a teacher and in the competitive educational sector has allowed me to understand the many challenges facing schools today, and I am excited about assuming a leadership role and representing the IB in such a diverse region.”

Adrian brings a wealth of experience and knowledge that will help IBAEM move forward in implementing the 2020 vision, and will undoubtedly provide a strong contribution to the overall schools division team.
