The global consolidations team is the custodian of the IB’s accounting information. It has overall responsibility for the organization’s worldwide financial reporting in terms of the collection, review and presentation of information. This role drives the IB’s financial control over accounting processes and standards, as well as financial reporting on a worldwide basis. The post holder will be responsible for the IB’s statutory reporting and compliance with both IFRS and local GAAPs at its offices in UK, Switzerland, USA and Singapore, and provision of monthly and annual accounts and the general ledger structure.
The post holder will need to work closely with finance colleagues across the organization including the finance systems manager, regional finance managers, the global transaction processing manager, and the global planning and analysis team. He/She will also serve an advisory role to end-users on accounting information.
The post holder will need to work effectively with people from a wide variety of cultures. Extensive international travel will be required.
Requirements:
- A good accounting degree from a recognised university and a professional accounting qualification.
- Extensive accounting or audit experience, some of which should be at a managerial level.
- Substantial hands-on experience using sizable financial accounting systems. Oracle is preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting standards including IFRS and typical indirect tax like VAT, GST, PAYE etc.
- Proven experience in strategising and directing accounting processes globally leading to annual financial close and reporting.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work across different cultures.
The salary package will be commensurate with the candidates’ qualifications and experiences.

The post is based in Singapore.
