MYP Associate Manager AEM

Closing date: 23 April 2010

Under the direction of the MYP regional manager, the associate programme manager for the MYP will play an important role supporting schools as they implement and develop the middle years programme.


The regional office is engaged in organizational and operational developments in line with the IB’s 2020 vision. This role is seen as an important component of that change, to ensure the regional office continue to engage practicing educators that support the regional office with the process of authorization, evaluation and consultation as well as the implementation of quality assurance processes.


This role has a close working relationship with the other programmes, schools and the educators’ network.


Education, Experience & Languages:
• Tertiary degree and in depth knowledge of secondary education.
• Minimum 4 years MYP experience as a teacher and/or MYP coordinator
• Knowledge of the PYP and/or the diploma, an advantage
• English proficiency is essential
• French and/or Spanish would be a distinct advantage.

Requested skills:
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral are essential
• High-level organizational skills, including ability to handle priorities and meet deadlines
• Good interpersonal skills, with an aptitude to work in multifunctional and multicultural teams
• Good knowledge of ICT tools, including comfortable use of databases and Microsoft outlook

Location:
Position initially based in Geneva, Switzerland, but planned to relocate to The Hague in The Netherlands.
