Africa Europe Middle East Director

The Africa Europe Middle East Director, initially based in Geneva but moving to the Netherlands over time, is line managed by the Chief Operating Officer, Schools Division.

The post holder serves as the primary customer face for the region and manages the working relationships with all regional stakeholders.

The post holder oversees the efficient functioning and quality assurance of all school services delivered regionally. The post holder fulfils corporate responsibility as a member of the school delivery leadership team and is responsible for regional management of the authorization and evaluation of DP, MYP and PYP schools.  The post holder leads and manages a team of approximately 30 regional staff who work throughout countries in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. The regional staff recruit and evaluate prospective and authorized schools, organise teacher training workshops, and promote support for, and recognition of the three IB programmes.

You will have a postgraduate degree in education or management, and will be experienced and successful executive leader in international education. You will have a clear understanding of the three IB programmes and ideally will have taught and administered at least the Diploma Programme. You will have proven experience in strategic planning, marketing, budgeting and working with not-for-profit organisations.  

You must be an excellent communicator who is able to work effectively with people from a wide variety of cultures. You must be able to write and edit materials that are clear and concise. In addition to fluency in English, the ability to work in Spanish and/or French is essential.

The post will entail travel.

The salary package will be commensurate with the level of this post and its location. A relocation package will be available for the successful candidate.
