Analyst programmer
(Temporary basis - it is anticipated that this post will last for approximately 12 months)
Salary: circa US$80,000 per year

An experienced analyst programmer is required to work on the development of web-based applications within our New York office. The post will be based in our New York office but will involve working closely with our development team within the information and communication technology (ICT) department in our Cardiff office (UK). The ICT department provides a service to IB staff, offices, schools and examiners worldwide. The development team consists of three areas: application development, application support and testing. The application development team works closely with the other teams to create quality web based systems for users worldwide.
With an IT related degree (or equivalent experience in an IT discipline), you will have a minimum of 3 years experience of analysing and developing IT systems. The specific environments used are Oracle (SQL and PL/SQL) and Coldfusion, and two years experience of these will be necessary. It is essential that you have practical experience of working closely with end-users, communicating technically complex issues to non-technical staff and working as part of a development team. Travel to the Cardiff office will be required.
Interviews are likely to be held, in New York, the week commencing Monday 26 June 2006.
