Salary: circa £24,500 per year

Based in Cardiff

Closing date: 16 June 2006

You will work closely with end-users in identifying ways in which ICT can be used to streamline processes, improve communication and enhance the work of the organization.  You will also project manage the implementation of new ICT systems within the IB.

The job requires the ability to address both the technical and the business requirements in solving a problem, and to provide a link between these two functions.  To do this, you will need excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills combined with a good awareness of trends and directions in technology.  Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will preferably have at least three years’ relevant experience. You will understand the issues involved in integrating systems and data, and have an in-depth knowledge of a wide variety of software.  Although not essential, the applicant will ideally have professional qualifications in business analysis and/or project management techniques.  Previous experience of working within the education sector may also be advantageous.

Given the nature of some of the projects, occasional weekend working and some international travel may be necessary.
