The post holder will be responsible for working on a range of print and online educational materials for teachers. Working closely with in-house authors, translators, and production and sales staff, you will manage a variety of assigned projects from conception to publication, to include setting and maintaining detailed schedules. In the process, you will work with freelance editors and proofreaders as necessary, and edit and proofread materials yourself to the required standard.
You will have a good level of general education, ideally to graduate level, preferably with at least two years' publishing experience in an editorial or project management role. You will also possess strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to manage and prioritize projects and tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines. You must have an excellent command of the English language and an eye for detail. Some formal editorial training would also be a distinct advantage.
Experience of editing educational materials would be particularly beneficial, as would experience of working in an international context or with varieties of English other than British English. Experience of working on online publications and with electronic production processes would be a distinct advantage.
