Head of Diploma programme Ref 32

Salary:c.£45,000 per year

This is a senior academic post responsible for leading the development of the Diploma Programme (DP) and managing the structure to support it. The ability to encourage new ideas and perspectives that may shape the future of the DP while ensuring the continued vitality, relevance, and quality of the programme is essential.  So too is the capacity to demonstrate intellectual leadership through sharing knowledge of relevant research and recent developments in education in the final years of schooling across the world. A knowledge of developments in the other IB programmes is important to ensure articulation between them. This is a very exciting, dynamic job that requires great vision, energy and commitment.

Applicants should have proven leadership and managerial skills, ideally including experience in an IB Diploma school.  A high level of language proficiency in more than one IB official language is highly desirable, but the ability to communicate effectively in English on all matters related to DP development is essential.

This is a full-time position based at the IB offices at Peterson House in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom, and will involve travel abroad.
