HR Associate (Asia Pacific)

This is a newly created position within the IB Asia Pacific Global Centre to provide overall operational HR support for the Asia Pacific region, global staff in Singapore, IT and Advancement Departments globally.

The post holder will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and professional human resources service to staff within the Asia Pacific region, particularly in the areas of recruitment, induction, training, benefits administration and payroll, while ensuring compliance to local procedures and employment law.    The post holder will lead recruitment efforts within the Asia Pacific Centre, including expatriate management and oversee the co-ordination, delivery and implementation of induction of new employees.   S/he will also be responsible for administering payroll and benefits in the Asia Pacific Centre.

The post holder has to build good working relationships with all staff within the Asia Pacific and global partners as well as HR vendors in order to provide excellent support and efficient HR management.  The job demands high standards of personal integrity and confidentiality, as well as a willingness to take on new HR initiatives/projects.

Requirements:

  • At least a Diploma in HR Management or Bachelor Degree in HRM/HRD
  • 3 years HR related experience within a multi-national organization.  Regional exposure will be an added advantage.
  • Good working knowledge of the local employment legislation and legal procedures
  • Working knowledge of a payroll system, especially Ready Pay
  • Knowledge of Oracle is an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills for both written and oral communication
  • Excellent organizing skills, able to set priorities and exercise sound independent judgment within areas of responsibility
  • Dependable, meet timelines, follow instruction thoroughly, meticulous and respond to feedback in a positive way
  • High standards of accuracy and confidentiality
