Marketing and Communications Associate Manager Ref 604a

The Marketing and Communication Manager will work with the communications manager on activities related to marketing and communications planning, oversight of various campaigns and the production of various communications and marketing materials and reports.   Responsibilities will include providing input to the marketing and communications strategies, planning campaigns, conceptualizing and producing materials on time and within budget, and evaluating the effectiveness of various campaigns.  Additional activities include proofreading, fact checking, analysis, formatting, collecting information and preparing layouts for various communications and reports. 

The Marketing and Communication Manager will be responsible for:

  • Develop plans for various communications campaigns, including setting goals and objectives and timelines.
  • Overseeing and managing the development, storyline, layout and production of various publications, electronic and print, including, but not limited to the IB Americas subsite, www.ibo.org/iba, Americas Staff Bulletin, Regional eNewsletters, Education Policy Briefs, Brochures, Fact Sheets and Information Kits.
  • Analyzing effectiveness of different campaigns.
  • Ensure that the organization has an appropriate range of communications materials that clearly articulate key messages and information about the organization in ways that meet the needs of target publics.
  • Responsible for analyzing the needs of different target groups through market research, including focus groups and surveys, in order to create and produce effective communications materials. 
  • Responsible for the editing, proofreading and formatting of various materials in order to ensure materials are produced accurately with a consistent and professional style.
  • Responsible for maintaining up-to-date and accurate mailings lists related to the communications function of the Americas in order to ensure accurate data is available at all times.
  • Respond professionally and promptly to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders and inquiries via the Communications email account, iba.comm@ibo.org.
  • Support media relations and public relations work in the region

Location

The Marketing and Communications Associate Manager post will be temporarily located in the NY office and will relocate to the Washington D.C. area within 8-12 months.
