Online Workshops Coordinator - professional development and research department Ref 190

Salary: £20,673 - £34,456

The professional development and research division within the International Baccalaureate (IB) is looking for an enthusiastic education technologist to coordinate the commissioning and running of online professional development workshops for teachers.  The successful candidate will, from concept through to launch, ensure that these workshops are designed and deployed in such a way as to meet appropriate quality assurance standards and make the best use of emerging trends in online learning.

In particular, we are looking for someone who has a first degree or equivalent, preferably in education or education technology, with demonstrable experience in online processes and pedagogy as they relate to professional development in an educational context.  An excellent understanding of the Internet and its underlying technologies is required, including web functionality, design and protocols, as well as a good understanding of current developments in online learning environments, eg Moodle or Blackboard.  Strong communication and project management skills are essential, together with a good command of the English language.  Please see the job description, available as part of the application pack, for further information.

This post is full-time and based at the IB office in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom.  The salary offered within the above salary range will be dependent upon the successful candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
