Subject Area Manager  - Groups 1 & 2 (Language & Literature) Ref 160

Salary: £30,284 - £35,581

Closing date: 18 May 2007

This position will support the development and management of the language and literature courses within groups 1 and 2 of the Diploma Programme namely language A1, language A2, language B and ab initio languages. A particular responsibility will be to support language A1 courses.

Involvement in curriculum development and assessment in schools at the upper secondary level is desirable for this post. The ability to work within a team and to lead teams of examiners, to take individual responsibility and initiative and to be able to plan and organize is essential.

You will be a qualified graduate teacher, will have taught in an appropriate curriculum area and preferably, will have experience of international education. The ability to work in English is essential and a working knowledge of other languages (including Spanish) would be an advantage

This post is full-time and is based at the IB office in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom. It is available from July 2007.
