Spotlight on Service-International School Suva
Eight dedicated and enthusiastic students from years 10 and 11 make the trip out to Walu Bay, Suva each Wednesday. They spend their time cleaning the cat and dog kennels, feeding and bathing the animals and getting to know and spend some playtime with them. The effort and genuine care these students show towards the animals is never more clearly demonstrated than when the animals remember individual students and come to the front of their kennels to greet them. Perhaps the couple of hours the students spend with them each week adds to their quality of life.
