The International Baccalaureate® (IB) recognizes the central role of research in supporting:
- the development of the IB programmes as well as professional development activities
- the strengthening of our role as a promoter of international education.
Research across the IB
The IB takes part in research projects, collaborates with universities and international agencies, and disseminates research findings in international publications. We develop links with researchers into international education worldwide, and support research through the International Education Research Database.
We promote an institutional culture that uses the valid and reliable outcomes of research to inform and develop the whole organization. Research is currently carried out within each of the IB programmes.
