Activities and responsibilities
To develop strategies, policies and procedures for the provision of PD services, resources and information
This includes managing:
- a teacher awards initiative
- the licensing of school consultants and partner organizations
- a quality assurance and quality audit system
- the coordination of PD-related communications
- systems for efficient and effective data collection and analysis
- the establishment and maintenance of alliances with other like-minded organizations.
To ensure that teachers have access to high quality PD resources and services
This includes :
- developing and/or collecting PD resources for teachers and school administrators and coordinating their distribution
- providing online services and resources for teachers, workshop leaders, examiners, school administrators and IB staff
- supporting regional offices with resource-rich online environments and administrative services.
To work in collaboration with the programme development division and regional office staff to develop a community of practice as well as a culture of lifelong learning and reflective methodology among IB teachers worldwide.
