Of the 13 IB World Schools in Ecuador, Colegio Municipal Experimental 'Sebastián de Benalcázar' in Quito is the only non-private high school that offers the Diploma Programme. Founded in 1951, we have acquired an enviable reputation over half a century and are now regularly oversubscribed. With a student body of some 1,420 students and a faculty of 120 we are also very fortunate in having the Ecuadorian director of education, Teodoro Barros, as a member of our school board.
